Curl up with the perfect cosy read and the latest novel by the bestselling author of Just the Way You Are。

After the end of a long-term relationship, local weather girl Bea Armstrong has been avoiding her family, and their inevitable ‘I-told-you-sos。’ But with Christmas fast approaching, she is finally on her way home to Charis House, the school in Sherwood Forest that her mum and dad run in their old family home。 And to top it all off, the insufferable Henry Fairfax – who her parents have always wanted her to marry – has also been invited。

Relief comes in the shape of a last-minute interview for her dream job。 There are just a few minor problems… The interview is in Scotland, Bea has no car, and the snow is falling already。 The only solution is for Henry to drive her – could this Christmas get any worse…

But during an unforgettable two-day interview, a stay in a log cabin and a nightmare journey through the snow, Henry turns out to be nothing like she thought。 And when Bea’s first love and recent ex shows up, Bea has a difficult choice to make…

I’ve enjoyed all of Beth Moran’s books。 This one didn’t disappoint。 It was a quirky family that you can’t help but love。 A nice little escape to a world so different from this very hot desert that I am living in。

I’m very excited to be starting on the Christmassy and wintery books, and this was a great one to kick them off。 Romance, family, Christmas and adventures, what more could you want。 Bea is returning home to her family for Christmas for the first time in a few years。 After splitting from her long-term boyfriend, she’s not ready for the onslaught of a family Christmas, one that comes with an itinerary。 When she arrives home, she discovers Henry, childhood ‘friend’, has also been invited。 A last-mi I’m very excited to be starting on the Christmassy and wintery books, and this was a great one to kick them off。 Romance, family, Christmas and adventures, what more could you want。 Bea is returning home to her family for Christmas for the first time in a few years。 After splitting from her long-term boyfriend, she’s not ready for the onslaught of a family Christmas, one that comes with an itinerary。 When she arrives home, she discovers Henry, childhood ‘friend’, has also been invited。 A last-minute job interview sees Bea and Henry abandoning the Christmas build up and taking a trip to Scotland。 But it’s not long before Bea’s ex, Adam, arrives on the scene。 I loved the characters of Bea and Henry and the way the uncover things about each other from now as well as from when they were younger, and seeing the relationship change and develop over the course of the book。 The Armstrong family Christmas sounds chaotic but brilliant, and they were a great bunch of characters。 The family bought the community feel that I love about Christmas books, in their bid to save their family home。 tI loved it! My first Christmas book this season and it’s such an awesome one to begin with。 If you know/follow me then you’ll probably know that festive romance is my favourite type of book ever and from around now until Jan, my blog will be full of reviews for them。 Let it Snow is a perfect starter to get you feeling festive and cosy。 I was reading it whilst planning Christmas Market trips so I am now fully ready for the season of festive fun。 I adored this whole novel and it’s cast of very quirky characters。 The main character Bea is adorable。 She’s having a rough time since separating from the love of her entire life and her job has taken a little bit of a hit – not helped by mysterious disappearances of important emails and calendar events。 Her family seem to completely misunderstand her job and she has just learned some bad news from home too。 She is a very real and relatable character and has some serious flaws – especially in her decision making – which made me want to giver her a shake。 But this is what made her so real。 She’s not perfect, she’s blinded by other things and reacts in a way that is frustrating but highly likely of most people in her situation。 Henry is such a sweetie and I spent most of the book willing him to step up and say something。 I loved how flashback chapters revealed more about their friendships in the past and gave me an insight to where both characters were coming from。 The forest setting of Sherwood really added a festive feel to this book and I could totally imagine the snow covered trees and deep footprints in the snow then coming inside to a winter wonderland with delicious foods and hot chocolate。 My favourite was the random little ‘cottage’ though。 The part at Baxter’s house completely had me in stitches and I concur it was the worst job interview style ever but so unique and entertaining。 Kind of like a hunger games style。Let it Snow is just an adorable festive read that will definitely get you ready for the season to come。 。。。more

Doing the same thing that she is doing now。 Creating a sense of community in a way。But there is one catch, Henry, the guy she has despised for decades offers to take her up to her job interview when all else fails。 Knowing that this could be the one shot that she has to have her dreams come true。All this starts when Bea returns home for Christmas with her family。 Knowing that she hasn't seen them in a while。 So she learns that she has the job opportunity of her life and she doesn't even know about it。 Her family doesn't want her to go and it only seems like her Nana is the only one, besides Henry, who is on her side and wants her to go。 Knowing that there are like a billion other things that she could be doing at home as part of the Christmas itinerary that her mother put together for the holiday season。This interview isn't set up like your average interview。 It is set up more like a game。 And whoever is on top at the end of the two days gets rewarded the job。 The only thing is that Bea didn't finish the whole “interview” process due to not wanting to tell the guy what she thinks the weaknesses are of the other candidates。 So when she is STILL offered the job after everything that she has gone threw she has to decide if she wants it or not。On top of that, her ex-boyfriend who she recently split up with SIX MONTHS EARLIER shows up。 Wanting to take Bea back。 But it's something that Bea isn’t completely sure that she even wants。 Yes, she still loves him but is it time to move on or accept him just to have him resent her if they get back together for like the 100th time over the last decade or so? So it seems that now Bea has a tough decision to make。 Not only in her professional career but also in her personal life。 Thoughts:I enjoyed this book。 It seems like the times I have picked up a Beth Moran read, I just know that I am going to be in for a good time。 Of not only connecting to the world but finding something about the characters that I either love, hate, or something in between。I think that this is the perfect Christmas in July book because it takes you into the whole Christmas world。 I think that the vibe is perfect for the hot, humid, sticky days that Texas is known for from like late May to sometime in September。 So what I have been doing due to all the humidity that we have been dealing with lately。 Wishing I was somewhere colder… literally。 I enjoyed the writing style of this and it feels like it brings you in。 Even if it takes a few chapters to fully get into the book and it becomes one that you just can't put down till you finish the book。The relationship between Henry and Bea was honestly my favorite。 Even if it seems like both sets of parents knew what they wanted for them it had to take a while for both of them to realize what it was from the other。 I think that the best part of their relationship was the fact that they realized what they wanted from each other and went after it。I think that Adam was the person who wanted things now。 And wanted things the way that they were with Bea。 Without really talking about what led up to their break up six months ago or anything wrong in their relationship。 Yet he wants to make all these sacrifices for someone willing to be there from day one。 Now it just seemed when he did come back, it seemed like he was lonely and didn't want to be alone on Christmas, not the fact that he missed Bea like he claimed that he did。 Even if there was a part of what he said was true。 Does it just seem like out of any day you want to grovel for your ex-girlfriend to take you back it has to be Christmas? Just seems a little sketchy to me from the reader's perspective。Overall, I loved this book and can't wait to get my hands on a physical copy so I can enjoy it that way。 Because I enjoyed this one!Rating:4。25 out of 5 。。。more

I am a huge fan of Beth's work。 I have read and loved each and every book that she has released to date。 I read the synopsis for 'Let It Snow' and I knew that I was in for a treat and then some。 I couldn't wait to get my hands on a copy。 Well ladies and gents the wait is over because 'Let It Snow' was released on 30th August 2022。 It's another sure fire hit by Beth Moran and I loved every single minute of it but more about that in a bit。I started reading 'Let It Snow' when we were in the grip of I am a huge fan of Beth's work。 I have read and loved each and every book that she has released to date。 I read the synopsis for 'Let It Snow' and I knew that I was in for a treat and then some。 I couldn't wait to get my hands on a copy。 Well ladies and gents the wait is over because 'Let It Snow' was released on 30th August 2022。 It's another sure fire hit by Beth Moran and I loved every single minute of it but more about that in a bit。I started reading 'Let It Snow' when we were in the grip of a heat wave and it felt so good to be able to read a story set in cooler times。 As soon as I started reading, I had an inkling that I was going to become addicted to reading 'Let It Snow' and guess what? I must be psychic because that's exactly what happened。 I know it sounds a bit daft but reading about a story set in the Winter immediately made me feel a bit cooler, which is good because I wasn't coping with the heat at the time。 I also found that I took to the main characters of Beatrice and Henry so well that I began to think of them as friends rather than characters in a book。 I hope that makes sense。 I developed my own suspicions as to what was going to happen and I had to keep reading to see if I was on the right track or if I had wandered in the opposite direction。 The more of the book that I read, the more I wanted to read and the quicker the pages seemed to turn。 I would pick the book up only intending to read a chapter or two but I would become so wrapped up in the story and in the lives of the different characters that I would still be sat there several chapters later。 I found 'Let It Snow' to be the true definition of an unputdownable page turner of a read, 'Let It Snow' is superbly written but then I have come to expect nothing less from Beth Moran。 Beth has an easy going writing style that is easy to get used to and easy to get along with。 In fact reading one of Beth's books felt more like a chat between friends rather than reading a book。 I hope that makes sense。 Beth clearly cares about her characters and this shines through in the very vivid and realistic way in which she describes them。 Beth makes her characters seem just as real as you and I。 I loved the fact that part of the story was set in Northumberland and also that part of the story was set in Nottinghamshire。 Both are places with which I am very familiar。 I started chuckling away to myself at the start of the book and I was still chuckling way after I finished reading the book。 I love the way in which Beth makes the reader feel as though they are part of the story and at the heart of the action。 That's how I felt at any rate。In short, I thoroughly adored reading 'Let It Snow' and I would recommend it to other readers。 I will certainly be reading more of Beth's work in the future。 The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is a very well deserved 5* out of 5*。 。。。more

Thank you to Rachel’s Random Resources and Boldwood Books for the invitation to join the blog tour for Let It Snow by Beth Moran, and a digital review copy via NetGalley。 I joined the Boldwood Books tour for another of Beth’s books, How Not To Be A Loser, in March 2020 and you can see my review here https://mentoringmumof2bookreviews。ho。。。This is the first of a number of festive books I’m going to be reading and reviewing over the next few weeks, and the other books have a lot to live up to if t Thank you to Rachel’s Random Resources and Boldwood Books for the invitation to join the blog tour for Let It Snow by Beth Moran, and a digital review copy via NetGalley。 I joined the Boldwood Books tour for another of Beth’s books, How Not To Be A Loser, in March 2020 and you can see my review here https://mentoringmumof2bookreviews。ho。。。This is the first of a number of festive books I’m going to be reading and reviewing over the next few weeks, and the other books have a lot to live up to if they are going to beat this book for making me feel ready for the festive season。I enjoyed getting to know Bea, who has had a tough few months with relationship and work issues。 The story moves location from her work, to her parents and then to Scotland for her interview。 There are a number of stories within this book, as Bea tries to find a new job, discover why some of her emails are going missing, cope with a busy Christmas and to find the truth about her grandfather。In addition, Bea finds herself with Henry, who she hasn’t seen for a number of years。 In flashbacks we find out more about the history of Bea and Henry – will Bea finally realise how amazing Henry is?I thoroughly enjoyed the book, as Bea makes some important decisions about her future (and that of her family)。 Full of festive fun, friendship, food, snow and some animatronic elves。 Happy to recommend。 。。。more

es, it may be only September but it’s never too early for a Christmas book is it? Not to me anyway, I am a sucker for a Christmas romance。 I may be a Scrooge when the festive season actually comes around but I love sinking into imaginary tinsel and proper Christmas feels and this is just the thing to get us all into the mood。I love beth moran’s writing, I have read a few – yet not as many of her books as I really should have and now I am kicking myself for leaving it so long in-between books but es, it may be only September but it’s never too early for a Christmas book is it? Not to me anyway, I am a sucker for a Christmas romance。 I may be a Scrooge when the festive season actually comes around but I love sinking into imaginary tinsel and proper Christmas feels and this is just the thing to get us all into the mood。I love beth moran’s writing, I have read a few – yet not as many of her books as I really should have and now I am kicking myself for leaving it so long in-between books but I do have another of her books sitting on my bedside table tbr pile waiting to be read – I may have to bump it up the list。Anyway, this is a fabulous enemy to lovers' romance (I do love this trope and this one is a doozy) add in a road trip in a blizzard with said enemies having to share the small confines of a car then you know it’s going to be a good ‘un, as long as one doesn’t murder off the other before they realise they love each other。I adore Bea and henry, they certainly chalk and cheese, they but heads, hardly ever agree but when in doubt you know they have each other back。 Bea may have judged henry a little too harshly before actually knowing the man he has become, she still sees him as the spotty teenager whom she fell in love with, a bit of a nerd。 They were destined to be together, they may not have agreed and the fact that both their families thought it and constantly nudged them into getting hitched was wearing a bit thin for them both – not surprising, don’t you hate it when a family tries to marry you off before you’ve even had a cuppa? 😉So with Bea home for Christmas and henry invited this year could be a lot of fun, only she gets a job interview back in London but with no transport, it being Christmas and a heavy blizzard grabbing hold of the country she is stuck。Henry to the rescue (just not wearing his pants over his trousers) no our Henry is the perfect hero, he’s a gent, he’s just there on hand with a car and a bit of a reluctant offer to drive her。 Off they go, but instead of a tense nail-biting journey it turns into something else, they both start learning more about the person sitting beside them in the car。 She learns that Henry isn’t at all what she thought he isn’t dull at all but incredibly generous, kind, caring and always happy to offer a helping hand and a heart-stopping smile。Yup, all is going well but as with life and romance books especially when your only part way through there comes a bump in the road, a crossroads, a twist which we all must wait with bated breath to see what Bea will do。 I won’t say too much, as this is a pretty simple story of a woman torn between two loves, it’s the journey that is important and that’s one you really, really must follow yourself to find out where Bea’s heart takes her。Let It Snow is gorgeous, it’s perfect for curling up with in the evening and indulging in some early Christmas love and cheer。 I loved the story, the pacing is pitch perfect as are the wonderful characters you will be rooting for Bea and henry from the start。 This book is charming, it’s cosy and delightfully feel-good, not one to be missed!! 。。。more

I really enjoyed Beth Moran’s novel How Not to be a Loser, and so when I was sent the blog tour invite for this I joined because it was a book by her。I had high expectations for this book, but there were too many secondary characters。I studied Geography, and am interested in meteorology too, but I don’t like too much detail about a character’s job and there was too much of that, too。I wanted to like all the characters but did like Henry。 I also felt that the mention of the school where Bea’s par I really enjoyed Beth Moran’s novel How Not to be a Loser, and so when I was sent the blog tour invite for this I joined because it was a book by her。I had high expectations for this book, but there were too many secondary characters。I studied Geography, and am interested in meteorology too, but I don’t like too much detail about a character’s job and there was too much of that, too。I wanted to like all the characters but did like Henry。 I also felt that the mention of the school where Bea’s parents with disadvantaged children could and should be a bigger part of the plot and was disappointed it wasn’t。 As a person who has multiple complex disabilities, I feel every kind of educational setting should be represented in books, as well as feel books should represent people from all walks in life。 I wanted to know who the children were and more about them。Thanks to Beth Moran, Boldwood Books and Rachel’s Random Resources for my eARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review。3 stars 。。。more

I love the way Beth Moran writes。 Apart from the storyline her writing style itself is very enjoyable to read。 The storyline is also captivating, full of twists and turns, not simply a"love triangle"。 (I loved the madcap "job interview" process)。 The characters are also really likeable - apart from Bea's workplace nemezis。。。 It is good to see a family whose members are so close to each other。 I was happy about the happy ending and I was sorry to say goodbye to the characters。 I can recommend thi I love the way Beth Moran writes。 Apart from the storyline her writing style itself is very enjoyable to read。 The storyline is also captivating, full of twists and turns, not simply a"love triangle"。 (I loved the madcap "job interview" process)。 The characters are also really likeable - apart from Bea's workplace nemezis。。。 It is good to see a family whose members are so close to each other。 I was happy about the happy ending and I was sorry to say goodbye to the characters。 I can recommend this heartwarming read to everyone。 。。。more

There is never a dull moment in this delightful book by Beth Moran。 Bea is struggling with the breakup with her long-term boyfriend, and wonders why she can’t get her act together, especially at work。 Going home for Christmas doesn’t hold out the hope of much joy either, especially with her mother’s action-packed itinerary, and having to spend time with nerdy Henry。 Prospects of a new job, snowstorms, her father’s parentage, and a growing friendship with a grown-up Henry, all add to the challeng There is never a dull moment in this delightful book by Beth Moran。 Bea is struggling with the breakup with her long-term boyfriend, and wonders why she can’t get her act together, especially at work。 Going home for Christmas doesn’t hold out the hope of much joy either, especially with her mother’s action-packed itinerary, and having to spend time with nerdy Henry。 Prospects of a new job, snowstorms, her father’s parentage, and a growing friendship with a grown-up Henry, all add to the challenges Bea must face if she wants to grow and develop。 。。。more

As with the author's previous books, what I really liked of this read is the fact that it doesn't revolve exclusively around the romantic aspect of the story, but it's a humourous/romantic/and a bit of mystery all very well combined。 A delightful festive read, highly recommended!Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC As with the author's previous books, what I really liked of this read is the fact that it doesn't revolve exclusively around the romantic aspect of the story, but it's a humourous/romantic/and a bit of mystery all very well combined。 A delightful festive read, highly recommended!Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC 。。。more

It had a rockstar ex-boyfriend! It had a drama and guilt ridden family Christmas week! It had a paternal parentage mystery plot! It had a "we need tons of money or else we have to CLOSE this SCHOOL" charity drive? It had a blizzard filled road trip?? It had a "we need tons of money or else we have to CLOSE this SCHOOL" charity drive? It had a blizzard filled road trip?? It had a multi-day interview and reality show competition combo at some billionaires Scottish estate??? All smashed into one zany romcom! The female main character, Bea, was both really mean and really selfless and giving? The male main character, Henry, was a cardboard cutout who was always ready to do whatever Bea needed of him without interfering with a personality of his own! Bea's family was also really mean and really loved to guilt Bea who was busy doing a hundred things at once (see list above- Bea was involved in every last one of these things)。 There were literally (figuratively) 8,000 side characters and settings and events going on all at once and it was all rather chaotic。All that being said, it was exactly the kind of nonsense you see in every Hallmark Christmas movie。 If you don't take anything seriously and skim through the flashbacks that kinda go nowhere you will have a silly Christmas romp of a book。 Perfect Christmas fluff read where everything works out and Christmas is saved and you forget it all by the next day! It's a Christmas miracle!I received an ARC copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review。 All opinions are my own。Read this review and more on my blog: https://horsetalkreviews。blogspot。com/ 。。。more
